Door lock programming
Hi,
Can someone please tell me how to program the door locks to automatically open when the shifter is put in park?
Thanks,
Morry

Owners manual is wrong
When I picked up my new 2003 4Runner I asked the service dept to set the door locks so they opened and locked when the vehicle was placed in park. I told them that I had read on an Internet forum that the owners manual on how to do it was wrong. They tried the method the manual said and it was indeed wrong. They went and checked the service manual and got the right method and switched the locks for me.
I do not know what they did but apparently the manual is wrong. See your dealer.

Same Question
I have a 2003 SR5 and also have the V1 & V2 manuals and cant find where the programming instructions are for unlocking all the doors in park vs just the drivers door. I have tried the SR3200 instructions on the internet a 100 times (key in/out 2 times, door open/close 2 times...) never works. I there a different programming instruction for the OEM or am I missing something? I remmember someone saying something about two V2 electrical manuals, is the programming somewhere else?

2. Turn the ignition switch to the "ON" position
3. Within 10 seconds after the ignition switch is turned to the "ON" position push and hold the rear (bottom) of the power door lock switch for 5 seconds with the autiomatic transmission selector lever in the "P" position.
I followed this exactly how it is stated and it worked perfect for me. Is this the same way it is stated in your user manual?

Finally!
Ok,
I finally got it to work using the 1..2..3 delay technique. How did anyone get this trick and do you know who killed JFK. By the way I discover other options. If I push the up doorlock button it unlocked my doors and completely disabled the door lock on D unlock on P feature. The locks have to be maually locked/unlocked. By pushing the down doorlock button cycled me back into lock/unlock on P/D. Strange!
