door lock problems

my driverside lock no longerr works, it sucks having to open from the passenger side. can toyota get a new lock cylinder and have it keyed to use my existing key. i just havent had a chance to call the dealer and ask, been working too much. any suggestions.

my honda was doing the same, right after the alarm quit and i had to use the key for entry. i went and bought the cheepest keyless entry i could find, works great, but obviously you need existing electric locks, and for the price you mine as well get an alarm too!

i thought about getting a keyless entry/alarm setup. the factory one took a crap on me bout 2 years ago, i ive just been unlocking manually since then.

Have you tried lubricating the cylinder?

Most auto parts stores have lock cylinder lube on the shelf.

Couple of squirts works wonders.
