my buddy has a 90' pick up with a 3" body, 33" mt's, 15x10's, and it looks as if 35x12.50's would clear on a set of 15x8's. im looking for a tire i can mount up and test fit, but i was curious if anyone has tried that combo and maybe has pics.

Nope. Won't work. With a 3" BL and cranked torsions (which only gives you another inch and is a bad idea - rides like hell) and 8" rims you just barely have room to clear 33s when wheeling. 35s will not really fit, and with 10" rims its even worse. 4" of real lift, serious hammer work and probably trimming the valance and/or bumper and 35s could be run to the mall, but you really need a bit more if you want to play.

This isn't my truck, but it has 35"s with a 3" body lift, 1.5" ball joint spacers up front, and (I think) 3" lift springs in the rear:

Trust me on this one, even with 33's you should have a couple inches for sure when wheeling, I outa know. And yes the 35's would fit but you can't ever turn and with no lift they rub all the time just moving back and forth with 10's. Uh.. yah I just had to try it, the darn tires and rims are just sitting there in my shed. When I have the bling she's getting some serious height adjustment.

My cousin had 35's fitted on his Toyota pickup with just a body lift but he also had the Bushwacker Cut Out flares to make more room.

I run 35" 12.50 BFG muds and a 1-1/2 bodylift and had minor rubbing and with a little fender cut here and there and some massaging of the inner front fenderwell and I don't rub at all, not even when I'm wheelin. I plan on putting on fiberglass front fenders to keep the tires covered.

Currently running 35's on 7"s

Use to run my 4" susp lift and 35s and rubbed

Like they said 35s will fit if you get 4"s of lift to assist but rubbage is iminent

Plus if you only go with a 3" bl & crank the Tbars what would you do in the arse end? You would also have such a harsh ride you would end up killing the rig from the ride.

I was at the mall (shudder) a couple months ago picking up something at sears and saw this black single cab pick up ('89-'94), it was from washington, had a bobed bed, a body lift (it looked like a 2" or 3"), and it was running 35's! It didnt look like it had BJ spacers but the t-bars were ed. I also saw some mad wheel well trimming and finder trimming!
If anyone knows who rig this is I would like to know more about it?
Thanks

I bet it would work.

1" bodylift and some trimming.

I have 33's on 4" BS'd 15x8's and it sure looks like a little more trimming in the back of the front wheel well would do it.

Cranking bars only degrades ride and robs travel, it does not make more room for tires.

1989 4runner with 1 inch body lift, minor fender trimming, inner bashing-er clearancing.
35x12.50 BFGMTs, pretty worn out. Unknown, but minimal backspacing. The stiff SAW torsion bars.

Tolerable, Wheelable rubbing when pointed downhill, slight turn, and "flexed" IFS style. (whatever )
