About 6 years back I ordered a front suspension from Downey for my 96 Tacoma for about $650 bucks. One of my shocks is now blown, but I believe that the Bilstein's in this setup can be rebuilt.

My question is does anybody have the part number for those Bilstein shocks? I would rather have the rebuild kit before I take everything apart to look for the number on the shock.

I have one floating around somewhere...been awhile since I last saw it but i'll look tomorrow night if still needed. I'm sure there's a few others that have one in the pre-gen forum.

Yep. just looked around and almost gave up before finding it buried in a pile of old magazines. It's dated 2006....looking through this catalog again really amazes me why Downey went under. They had A LOT of specialty parts that nobody else made or makes today...along with useful tech inside. kinda sad.

Back to that part #....
They list 95-04 Tacoma: "complete front kit w/bilstein shocks" Downey part #48095
Then they have a separate page on Bilstein shocks...

I think if you cross reference 2284B with a call to Bilstein you should find out what shocks you have.

Lower part of the same page has a short listing of 5100 series that lists measurements of travel, collapsed and extended.
6252B, 6248B, 6249B and 6250B.

does that thing have a photo of their 22r header by chance? if so can you scan it and post up a photo?
