Dodge Ram 1500 V8 5.0l 4x4
damn this is a monster machine. my brother has one and i am borrowing it right now to pick up a recliner. The engine is massive and it has ungodly ammounts of torque. It's impossible to slow this thing down by hills and such.
if it was a little more reliable (its only 4 years old and he's had many problems with it, among just about every 1500 ram owner), i would sell my 4runner and get this
also, its an offroading beast, even though my 31's are bigger than these tires, but not by much at all.
respect++ for dodge ram, but i still love my toy

My cousin has a Ram 2500 4x4 with the extended cab and the short bed. It has the 5.7 liter engine. I am no fan of Dodge, but that thing is badass. The 2500 4x4 is so high up he has 33's on it without the lift. I thing it is a factory lift actually. I love to spin the tires in that thing.

Thats true. The Dodge engines are ballsy. I did valet for 4 years, and one of my favorites to drive was the special edition Ram, blue with the white racing stripes. Those things haul ass. I still like my Toyo though.

Drove my dad's FORD F-350 with the 7.3 L INTERCOOLED TURBO CHARGED DIESEL, damn, that's what I call power. It's a beauty driving that sucker. All you hear is the whistle of the turbo once you get that thing going. With ease, I pulled a 12,000lb trailer full of tree stumps and brush.
The TOYOTA is going to have to go pretty soon. I'm lovin' them 7.3 LITERS too much.

I don't mean to correct you, but being an ex-doge man, I think you actually mean the 5.3L (318) V8. It doesn't matter, I just thought I'd point that out.
That's my $.02 on Dodge.

I had a 1996 1500 with the 5.2. Flowmaster exhaust and K&N intake.
I went through 3 cats on the thing. She was definetly fast. But man the problems I had with it were crazy. It was all black with rims and 31's. She served her purpose. My girl was driving it for a year and half after I got my WRX. I traded both in for my 4Runner.
The truck died in the parking lot of the dealership when I traded it in. I was lucky they gave me a price on it the day before, sight unseen.

A guy I know has a F-250 Super Duty 4 door 4x4. It has a 6 inch lift, and 36" Parnelli Jones Dirt Grips on it. It has the diesel engine also. That is my favorite vehicle on the road. I think when I graduate in a couple of years, that will be my next truck. Hopefully I can keep my 4Runner too. Being in Florida, the SD is very popular, and I see them everywhere.

I can wait until I get my hands on one of those trucks, except I would like the F-350 and maybe go with an 8-inch lift.
They are super, I love them!!
As far as keeping my YOTA, well I don't know. LOL
Only If I had a TACOMA in which I could SUPER CHARGE, then, yes.

Now that is the truck that I've been looking to replace my '91 Runner with!!!! I was waiting for the Double Cab Tundra but that SD is awesome looking!! My only concern is that it's a Ford and their reliablity isn't as good as Toyota. Any word on how these hold up with the diesel motors? I've driven my Runner for 12 years and +160 miles and would not be afraid to go out today and turn the key and drive it anywhere....I know it'd get me there AND back. I don't know if the SD would do the same.

Forget the SD fords!! They ride like bricks and by the time you get to 20K miles they squeak and rattle like crazy!!! You thought the annoying creaking sounds coming from you Tacomas dash was bad.........that ain't nothing untill you drive a FORD!! We have one at work an '01 F-350 and they can keep that thing!!! The steering makes all kinds of noises, the whole interior rattles and it sounds like the enitre drivetrain is going to fall out of it when you get on the gas!! That's one of the reasons I bought my Tacoma........I got tired of always fixing the american rides. I'm sorry but untill the American car companies make reliability a priority I'm sticking with Toyota
Oh, yeah by the way. My buddy is a Ford Certified Tech and I swear he bleeds the Ford blue ovals and he said that the new 6.0 diesels are having big problems!! He said that he won't buy one.
