Do the OME 891s ride rough?

I want to use some OME 891s on the back of my 2000 4runner. Do the OME 891s ride rough? I dont care if they are a little firmer that stock but don't want bone jarring. I am thinking of the 891s because I tow and haul.

depends on what you think rough/bone jarring is. IMO, they are too stiff for daily driving. But they are AWESOME when towing/hauling, which is why I got them. They are good off-road as well when matched with other OME HD gear.

too stiff for me. i have downey's and some air bags to stiffen them up for a load. soft springs + adjustability = that's the best combination in my opinion...

i'll be switching to my LC coils when i get the time this spring.

After many towing/loading cycles they will soften a bit.
I still prefer my 890s but again I only tow on occasion.

I tow a pretty heavy camper and the 891's work great for me. I tried the LC coils, but they were way too soft for towing. The ultimate setup may be what bama said, LC coils with airbags.

891s ehere, yes they ride rough, but still not as bad as 250 or fullsize pick up, I don't mind it, it is a truck after all

I've got the 891's with a 1" daystar spacer that I cut down from the original 2.5". I may cut it down some more or just go with the Cruiser coils. I've had them for a year and a half with no sagging even after loading and towing the crap out of them. They don't seem to have softened much either. Bama's set up is what I would like, but the ride is still much better than stock. Firm with a load of 100+. Bouncy totally unloaded.
