Diverse Gen 3 questions

I'm a soon-to-be newbie Gen 3 owner and I gots Q's

1. Towing Capability. I'm not talking about factory ratings, I'm talking about what are y'all are towing *comfortably* in the real world.

2. Running Board removal. My new truck has got the factory fender flares and RB's. How awful does it look if you remove the RB's?

3. CD Changer. I have the pretty much standard AM/FM cassette/stand-alone in-dash one CD Player. Will this unit run a changer, and if so, what's available?

Welcome to the boad, I hope you enjoy learning all you can as much as all of us do, fee free to ask ANYTHING, there is plenty of knoledge and support here to go around a milion times over. Let's get some pics of your rig up here as soon as you can, everyone will be asking that question soon enough.
Well I really can't say much about the changer thing, I have replaced most of my stock stearo stuff, and about the towing I don't know alot, I know I can haul a big load in the back, but that is w/ HD shocks and HD springs, but I have never had the needor opertunity to tow much, either than my friends stuck and broke down Jeep, all the way home LOL. But it handeled that with ease, hehe. But for the running boards question, rip those suckers off, they just make it look to much like a mommy wagon, you want a TRUCK . They don't look bad at all w/o running borads, they look bigger/taller, and alot clearner looking/less cumbersum(sp). So I would say go right ahead with your plans on getting those off. Good luck and keep us upated on anything and everything you do to your Runner, that's what makes this place great.

yes, there is a very nice write-up on how to remove the stock running boards in the tech section. Also I've been able to pull 2 jet ski's with somewhat of an ease. I'm not sure about the stock deck with a cd changer, just get aftermarket

Welcome and have fun modding!!!!!
