Deckplate mod...Need Help???

Deckplate mod...Need Help???

This is my first post, so I'm somewhat of a newbie to these forums, but not a newbie to Yotas.

I just completed the deckplate mod and I revved up my engine when I was finished and my engine stalled. I put the deckplate in and no stall. Any explanations to as to why this happened?

give the ecu a reset?

^^^ Ditto.

The ECU needs to relearn, pull the neg batt terminal for 1 minute and try it again.
I bet it won't stall with the deckplate out after that.

You should probably clean the MAF soon as well.

How do you clean the MAF???

I had the neg battery pulled while I was doing it. Should I still reset the ECU?

maf sensor is real easy to clean just take it out spray with electrical contact cleaner and let it dry for a few mins also double check all the wiring

Use brake cleaner on the MAF, works alot better.

Once you pull the neg batt terminal, the ECU has been reset.
