Ok, so who's the wise guy selling the deckplate mod on ebay?

It's not even completed it's just the cap and supplies to do it yourself. I thought it was completed at first, then someone pointed out that it wasn't to me. I would buy a completed one because it would be cheaper than buying a hole saw.

I can totally walk you through the deckplate mod if you need help.

Where to get it, tips and tricks, etc. Let me know! It would cost you well under $25. I can tell you that much.

Honestly, whats the big deal? Anyone could have done this. He's just the only one that capitalized on the idea. Any smart person would know better than to buy this anyways.

Actually, I posted this thread originally not to flame, but almost out of jealousy. However, if you read the ad, this person lists the mod as a "Cold Air Intake" which I do not agree with.

Just thought it was interesting. Take it for what its worth.

I don't know, maybe its just jealousy that he thought of it first, but what's next? ECT mod directions? I'm wondering what else we'll see on ebay now that someone has "broken the seal."

Along the lines of cold air intake, anyone ever tried wrapping their intake in insulating tape of some sort?

Yeah, I was kind of skeptical about whether it would do much, and you 've confirmed that for me...

And, it creates a sticky goo all over your intake when you finally figure out it doesnt do anything.

You live and learn I guess.

Next week:

Dr. Bob's Silencer Removal Kit for 93-03 3.1L V4
Seller: some_random_bob
High Bid: $52 + s/h
Why spend a great deal of money purchasing a cold-air intake or a K&N Performance Kit when you can buy this kit to do the same. Results in drastically improved amount of air entering engine and deeper engine tone. Kit comes with all parts and my own written directions (most likely a copy of Dr. Z's write-up.)

I can see it now.

"And, it creates a sticky goo all over your intake " - my GF hates it when that happens...
