Leave it out for a good 15-30 minutes. Jacksonpt's write up says to pull the fuse when you start the mod, then just put it back in when you're done.

Allegedly this will allow your ECU to "learn" the increased airflow faster than if you just drove it. Either way, it will adjust accordingly.
This is a debatable practice as many do not think it does anything.
Hard to say. I just do it cause its easy.

I got a Check Engine light as soon as I started up after doing the deckplate mod. Pulling the fuse reset the light for me. It may or may not have an effect on resetting the air/fuel control, etc. Pulling the fuse when you start will save you from possibly having to do it for a CE light.
