Decided on the Coils.
Im going with the 99 OEM coils for my 98 4x4. I hear they have fine offraod ability and decent ride. Could someone find a website and get the product number for me, just so I dont screw up. 4x4. I really only need 1 inch more. I REALLY APPRECIATE IT.

I will tell you my recent experience with both. I bought the PP lift kit and put it on my 01 4runner, nice build quality but the ride was horrible with the LA roads I drive on. They actually felt a bit unsafe for me. With 265/75-16 terra grapplers, the truck measured in at 36.5" on the driver side and 37" on the passenger side. (yup, that lean I remember Steve Schaeffer (sp?) mentioning in an older post) The front two are exactly the same height, and so are the rears, (drivers side spring is taller on the stock coils to compensate for the gas tank) with a half tank of gas, mine leaned to the driver's side .5". Overall I thought the truck looked too tall for me...just my opinion, but I didn't care for the height on my truck.
I took those out and replaced them with the 99 4wd stock springs. They made a huge difference in the quality of the ride...alot more comfortable. I used the same tokico trekmasters with these as I did with the PP springs. They only problem I had was the fact that the rear springs were 1" shorter in the rear compared to the front. So I pulled the first set of rears out and sent them back for a new set...it gave me the same result. The front of the truck measured right at 36" but the rears were close to 35" with an empty tank. I have a set of OME 906's coming in to replace the stock 99 rears. I am hoping for them to settle at 36.5" in the rear because I do want a slight rake. But, if they are a little too tall I will just add a top-out spacer in the front to get a little closer to level.
My advice would be to get the '99 4wd springs for the front just like you want, but I would order the OME 906 in the rear just to be safe. It will be very close in price anyway, so that shouldn't be an issue. And from what I understand, the OME springs wont sag nearly as much as the stockers will. I am experimenting with this setup because like you, I didn't want much lift for the 265/75's either. My springs should be here next week, so I will post and let you know how this setup will work.

ShiftMX, after all you've gone through, I am very curious to see how it pans out with the OME 906's. If you don't get somewhere near that 36.5" mark, then either you have some very unique suspension geometry or something else is amiss.

I hear ya...as long as it settles at no less than maybe 36 1/4" I would be happy. I am just tired of swapping these so the 906's will stay for sure, and I will just add some trim spacers to the front if the rake is too high in the rear. But I do love the fronts right where they are.
