Is it common pratrice for dealer technicians to pull the ebrake up as hard as possible so when you go to pick it up you have to fight it to disengage it on automatic transmission cars after they're done servicing it?

Try being in our shoes. These little old ladies who pull their seats up to the windsheild, or kids who leave their music up so loud we go deaf as soon as we crank the vehicle up, or people who hotwire a bunch of crap causing us to pull our hair out trying to diagnose something. We are drilled about leaving the cars in their origional settings so that the customers do not gripe about it. Yes we are required to put the parking brakes back on if it was on before.

I understand but this guy had it all the way up that only superman could snap back down. i don't use the handbrake on level ground. everytime i take mine in i always adjust the seat, mirror, leave the stereo off, and clean any junks thats lying around before leaving the house. not saying i'm curteous or anything as i think most people does the same. and if you own a ford you do this every week
