Dealer recommendation
After got my truck back from 5,000 mile service for $70. Dealer recommended me doing:
AIR FILTER REPLACE
COOLANT EXCHANGE
POWER STRG FLUID EXCHANGE
EFI SERVICE
FRONT/REAR DIFF SERVICE
BRAKE FLUID EXCHANGE
I declined on the air filter replacement as they want $25, and I can buy it in the parts dept ($16 +tax) and install myself. (That I know how.)
I also told him that my brake fluid was changed a few months back, (at another dealership) so he then said I don't have to do it.
That got me thinking: Did they really did the inspection or just merely go by my mileage?
All these fluid exchange will cost me $around $500~$700 if I remember correctly. (didn't give me the quote)
I decided to pass on that, what do you guys think?

The EFI service probably can be passed on. I would recommend doing the fuel filter every 60,000miles though. Coolant, Diffs and pwr steering can all be done yourself for less than 100bucks with basic tools. There's a write-up on here for doing the pwr steering fluid exchange.

Um....do all these things yourself. You will save lots of money and you will also bond with you truck (they like bonding haha).
You will also feel better when you are done.
