De- Icer and Aluminum Wheels???
Has anybody noticed their Non coated aftermarket aluminum wheels getting etched by something on the roads? I think it's the De-icer spray the've been putting down? Magnesium chloride? Anybody?

Mine are fine after three winters and they use Mag Chloride here. During winter I pretty much power spray the truck down after any storm. My center caps will need a repainting by spring tho'.

From what I heard the use a very low salt to sand ratio out here in CO. Nowhere near the salt that you find in the Midwest or Back east. That's why I was wondering if that spray crap might be doing it?

Yea, thats what I thought. So I wonder why my wheels are getting all jacked up? The fronts have it, but the backs are considerably worse. It's going to take some serious polishing to get them back to normal!

I would recommend purchasing some of this and putting it on your rims... I purchased a set of new rims last week and I will be ordering this stuff to protect them the best I can.. Worst case if it does not work I am only out $20.00 bucks. The product is called Rejex:
