Daytime Running Lights stay on when Vehicle off
I did a search. I think i get it from reading between various posts but didn't find one on this exact topic so please bear with me.
After months of trying to diagnose a misfire I'm a little paranoid of messing up.
So.. vehicle sat for about 3 months. Finally got the missfire figured out. Battery was dead but after putting a new battery clamp on and charged all good.
took it out for a spin.. and noticed no DRL when the vehicle was on. headlights yes, DRL no. Turned vehicle off and remove key.. lights come on.
After some fiddling... i figure if I turn vehicle off, then turn the key so all comes on but the starter, then turn off and remove key.. DRL stays off.
So.. is this a bad relay? could it just be damp? (its winter here and under the hood was pretty damp) any simple (cheap) Fix. I'm getting tired of 8$ parts everytime I go to drive it.
Thanks in Advance

Edit - just a little follow up thanks to some of these posts, I found the connector for the DRL and disconnected it for now. Id like to know where the relay is if that is the problem.
