Cylinder Misfire?

I know theres many threads about this, no need to tell me.

I have a 1996 4cyl 4Runner, Runs great but i keep getting the CEL for cylinder 2 misfire. Ive replaced cap, rotor, plugs, and plug wires, and im still getting the CEL, yes i have cleared it and about 15 miles down the road it will come on again. Ive heard dirty fuel injectors and might go get a compression test, but i would like to know what the majority of people think the problem is, Being as i have already replaced $150 worth of parts with no result. Thanks

Chances are its a bad valve.......maybe an injector. What does #2 plug look like? normal, rich, lean?

I know its frustrating,but a single cylinder misfire....You have 3 options..spark,fuel,compression problem.
