Custom Grill Update...

Okay finished getting things secured this weekend on the latest grill Mod..
http://community.webshots.com/photo/...57071701AZzxsA
I am going to see if I like this after a week or so, so far I like the clean look of the aluminum and material with holes in it compared to the old one I had made. Also considering to still do the Sotashi look but I will have to see.
May also try to put the TOYOTA Emblem on this setup after stripping the paint on it and just painting the letters green like the runner and leaving the rest the aluminum look (reverse of what it is now).

Let me know what you all think ??

I think we're all waiting for the "T_O_Y_O_T_A" to show up on that grill to be completed before we all give ya the thumbs up

Personally I think that's a pretty clean setup! I like the pictures you have that show how ya built it too... What a clean job

Now.... finish the emblem so we can really see it shine!

I personally would think it would look better if you just stuck the original toyota sig on there instead of the T_O_Y_O_T_A.

I dont like the big ol TOYOTA that much.

I say leave it de-badged completely. Looks a lot cleaner that way IMO

I think it is very clean as is, without the big TOYOTA

Doesn't performance products have a grill for the 4runner that copies this look, i think it is 130 bucks. I saw it in the catalog, but not online.
(What I am saying is I like your look enough to get it, if the one at the store is close in appearance.)

Anybody know?

$130.00 Man I make you a insert for half that J/K
make it yourself it is rather easy (I spent like maybe $35 for the material and still have enough to make one more. Most places I have seen just dont make one for the 4Runners but have them for others.
Thanks for the compliments everyone, I am going to work on the emblem this weekend, if I get a chance. I will tape it on a take some pics before drilling any holes. Can't go back after you make holes.

Leave it as is, it looks good. i wonder how black would look? I might make two for mine, and switch it up every now and then. Good job.

LOL I see a EBAY deal brewing LOL Actually the worst part is cutting out the inner part of your grill I was hesatant at first till I got a 2000 grill as a backup.
The best part is once you get the pattern cut out of the wood your done and have a pattern to turn out more if needed ... Hmm EBAY.. J/K
I got my material (perforated round aluminum) from a local metal shop they had cutoff pieces so it was a cash sale deal from the guy. Here is a place I was getting some ideas from when I started the project.
http://www.mcnichols.com/products/pe...rf_sizesp4.htm
I looked for ones that had the most airflow(63%) thus less air restriction to the radiator.
I found the aluminum was easy to bend and work with as far as cutting. I think stainless would be harder to bend and contour and cut.
any other questions feel free to ask....
