Lightbulb Custom Front Bar

I am going to be redoing the front and back of my runner. I considered building a bumber much like an ARB, but I kinda like the look of the tin foil crome bumber. A came up with a design that will be made out of the same materials as my rocksliders, and would go in front of the bumber.
What do you guys think? Any possible problems?
I will probably be doing the same thing to the rear if I have time over Christmas.

Thanks
Jeff

I am still trying to figure out how to post pics so I will post them seperately.

Oh my god.... I have to check my pants after that!

That bumper looks so awesome! The only thing I with was it came up a little higher on the truck, but dang! Way to combine prerunnerish styling with toughtruck styling.

If you made this, would you consider selling some, or selling the designs? What does it bolt to or weld to? Also, is it intended to go infront of the original bumper, or take that off as well? I think if it was higher, that it would look better if the original bumper was off and then mount the turn signals inside the main loop bar (in front of the grill). Otherwise, it looks good with the bumper on at that height.

I am planning on leaving the front bumper on, for now. I have designed it to bolt on to the front frame so if for some reason I need to take it off I can easily.

That does look really great!

First question, what is your new skid plate attaching to? Does it go all the way back to the stock mounting spots and are you going to bolt it on just like the stock plate?

Second question, what program did you use to render it? I-DEAS 10? I have finished rendering my new bumper on I-DEAS 10 and I plan to start building it tomorrow. I will get a screen shot to see what you think. Looks like you have some design and fabrication background.

Nice work!

What software did you use to create that? I'm a big graphics junky and I'd love to mess with it.

I haven't decided exactly where I am going to mount the skid plate. I think that part I am going to decide after the rest is built. I used AutoCAD to do the drawings. If you want to post a screen capture I would like to look at it.

That bumper is exactly what I've been looking for. I also would be interested in buying one, or buying the designs after you get everything worked out. Would you consider talking to your fabricator, or selling the designs? It might get you a cheaper price is more than one is sold, unless of course you are making it yourself

I am going to be making it myself. I am going to start on it next week and will have it completely done by the first week in January. I will post pics after it is done and any problems that I encounter.

Jeff,

Yeah, I went to your webpage and realized that you make the stuff yourself. Your roof rack is great too. --Acid
