Custom 2nd Gen Sliders FINALLY!!
After ample research and flip-flopping, i finally was able to complete what i call my first big mod. Much thanks is in order for Robert Johnson who did practically all fabrication (letting me do the fun part of drilling the frame holes) and made this happen.
We started out with 20ft of 2 inch OD 1/8" Round and 20 ft of 2x2" Square Tubing and 3 ft of 1/4" angle iron bought from a local steel yard for $101 and change. We were able to use Robert's bros shop to bend the tubing on a muffler bender and got lucky with our 20 degree angle. After wasting half our time running around town and planning, we finally got our pieces laid out

Brackets Attached
More thanks to Robert
For this paint we used 2 coats of rustoleum primer, then a coat of this truck bed liner out of a spray can, then 2 coats of regular gloss black. The truck bed liner's texture is perfect and very durable. All paint was less than 25$.
Finally on there
We have a ton more pics and info so reply with any q's...Robert also is possibly contemplating a little side work...
here's a crazy idea that could carry on the motif and be evolved into a sweet rear...thats the next project.
Thanks for looking, Andrew

Looks good man. I hope they hold up for you as well as they look. seems like a well thought out application and a clean install. Congrats!! There's a lot to be said for those who do things themselves. Very rewarding and a special satisfaction from a job well done. I used to be like that. My job has forced me into having to rely on others to get my mods done for me. Oh well maybe someday I'll be able to use my tools again on something other than a helicopter.

Thanks for the compliments guys. I really think that that rear bumper could work out but definitely needs some more planning. I also need to put some self tapping screws in the bottom of the angle iron and frame but i can't make myself go and drill the 12 needed holes. Thanks again, Andrew
