Current header question
I have searched and searched and found that basically I must choose between Downey and NWOR. Though I like what NWOR has done with their design, I think I am leaning towards the Downeys. I clicked on some links that claimed that Downeys were ony around $415 for the ceramics with y-pipe. I click the link and there they are for $647!!! What the sheit!!!! What happened? It has only been about 7-8 months since those posts and the price has gone up over 50%.
Does anyone know where to get ceramic headers be it Downey or NWOR at anywhere near $400 still?

Hmmm, I know that I was in those Downey threads so I just checked.
TruckPerformance.com shows the Downey ceramics for my 96 auto at $473, which is good but $113 more than I paid. But yeah, the ceramics for your truck (you don't say, but I figured you have a 3.0L) are $648. It may be an issue of demand.
As for the choice, NWOR is a local shop for us Seattle folks, and there aren't many people on the forum that have good things to say about their customer service. I can't speak for them in terms of parts quality.

NWOR has bad customer service, huh? Well, hopefully it will only be a mater of money and product. I am hoping I never need the customer service out of any of this. (I probably just jinxed myself)

All the header chatter in here over the last year, I figured more would know. It does seem that the 3.4 is a lot cheaper now, though. Maybe I should still swap? (about $1k too late)
