crunch... and the tree won
i went wheeling at Rauch Creek for my local clubs Fall Foliage run, got to lead a bunch of jeeps.... showed them what the toyota could do, they didnt do every obstacle i did, but 2 made it up a steep hill that i couldnt make it up....
but they did see what a tree could do to pretty sheet metal.
i slid off a stump and towards a tree, and crunch...

I'm in the same situation. I also need a Drivers side fender. Where are you going to get your replacement? I think I found a passangers side. It's really going to be a pain getting a fender repainted. Not only that. With my fender, the bolts that hold the fender snapped off inside the threads and I have NO IDEA how to get them out.

Hey Specialized-
Have you ever used an ez out? Pretty much, you drill a hole in the bolt, then put the ez out in the hole and turn the bolt out. That's not a very good explanation, but I bet they'd work for you.

chicks dig body damage only if there is a cool story behind it, liek i was wheeling in the mud and slid into a tree, not i was driving and reading the paper and plowed into a big rig at 25 mph...... then you just look stupid

thats why when people ask say you were 4 wheeling and slid into a tree......
however that doesnt always work though... the general public sees 4 wheeling as a sport for dumb@$$ hicks

\m/the limited flares got pushed into the fender, then the fender got pushed in, plus the wheel was cut, if i was turned the other way i would have ended up hitting the front of the fender.
plus i like being able to air down

HUH.... I just meant get wider rims. You still can air down with the wider rims. When ever I have slid into stuff, my rim will hit before the fender. You have stock stance on. It is also a lot easier to roll your vehicle w/ stock width rims. Your little tree situation and the rocks that you got stuck on, how could you have let that happen? You didn't see the wet stump slide coming?

that is one of the perils of off roading, along with trail pinstriping and custom formed skid plates and tc cross members. we all hope it doesnt happen to us and silently thank a higher being when its someone else but eventually the universe finds out we have escaped trail carnage and the fun begins! sliding into a tree, scraping both left wheels along what looked like a nice smooth rock only to find some nice gouges in the factory rims and a few wheel weights missing! the last one was me! the guys i was out with gave me a good ribbing about it, i passed it off as a noob mistake as it was my second time off road. oh well, live and learn!
