Creaking Suspension HELP!

My front suspension started to creak last Thursday. I narrowed the creaking down to the front driver side. I think it's the springs. The creaking occurs when it gets loaded during breaking and unloaded when I first accelarate from a stop. Now, it creaks when I load the spring during hard turns.

What do you think it is?
How can I fix this?

I have a Revtek lift (as you may already know). I think it has something to do with the springs and/or lift.

I need help bad because it is annoying!

just try sticking some grease in all the joints around the springs. i did the same thing for my shackles in the rear and it worket great. i'd imagine it'd be close to the same thing for coilovers..

I'm not sure what you mean. Are you referring to where the bolts are? 3 on top and 1 on bottom? Or should I grease the hell out of the contact point between the spring and the revtek spacer?

Or do I grease the ball joints the upper and lower control arms as well?

GoodTime,

I think you had creaking problems. Did you have something similar to this? What you do to fix it?

Thanks

Timber, I'm SURE you did this but did you seat your spring perfectly back in the groove at the bottom when you put it back together? I know we didn't and had to take one apart. That would definately make a noise during some applications as it isn't perfectly seated....

Just a thought..

Mine does the same thing sometimes. Ussually I take the bolt off of the strut and remove the washer and rubber bushing. Every time some dirt and rock has worked its way into there. I clean it up and put it back together, ussually takes 10-15 mins. I just did this again last weekend, this time I put a lot of grease on the bushing, hopefully it will help.

I'd just spray some silicone on it and see if that does it...if it does then you know for a fact that it is the springs.

I need to spray some stuff on my truck, its startin creak pretty bad.

It turns out. The creaking came from a loose lower control arm bolt. This happened when I got my alignment done.

I suspected it after testing the torque on all the bolts on the front suspension, and found the lower control arm bolt spun freely. Not knowing what the correct torque is, I brought the 4runner back to a diff Firestone and had them check everything out. The mech confirmed the loose bolt, and tightened and torqued it correctly.

Now, my baby rides like the day it came from the dealer.

I almost tore the front apart, too...
