Crankshaft pulley came off?!? Help?
Driving home yesterday, lost my powersteering and the battery light came on, so I pulled over and noticed that the powersteering/alternator belt was off, so I got it towed back to work. A friend of mine who's a mechanic came and looked at it today, and found that the crankshaft pulley was no longer attached at all. The big freaking bolt was nowhere to be found. This should never have happened, unless someone worked on it, and didn't tighten that bolt enough.
What should I do now? I'm going to go buy a new pulley, and see if putting a new one on makes it all better. Hopefully it hasn't screwed everything else up. This sucks.

If the crankshaft and keyway haven't been chewed up from the harmonic balancer being loose, a new balancer, pulley, and bolt should do the trick. Sounds like the balancer bolt wasn't tightened enough after a t-belt job or something. The factory tightens that bolt plenty tight.
