Depreciation figures come from Edmunds and apply to 3rd Gen.
Interesting estimate. And surprisingly it all adds up to ~30 cents per mile for the average drivers.

That's based on a 15000 mile year which is average and I actually only see about 10-12k a year.
I just know it's cheaper than my Eclipse which some times felt like it cost me a dollar a mile;too much drag racing.

I'd like to see the break down on an Avalanche.
A cousin had one for 18 mos. It went through so much oil, Chevy bought it back under the "lemon law". Pete said he added a qt. of oil every 150 to 200 miles.
