Cornfed 2.5" installed on OME

After battling the last 3 months, trying to level out the front of my 4runner after installing the OME setup, I finally found the solution: 2.5" cornfeds.

I also installed some 5mm trim packers as well. Now I have 8" of travel between the wheel well and top of the tire at all 4 corners!

The ride has improved a ton. I have finally eliminated my front end noise that was coming from the drivers side strut assembly. This made me very happy. The ride is not too stiff either. I took it up to a little bedrock/dirt area that I know and tested it out...its just awesome. Onroad is not too stiff either.

Heres a few pictures. How do the CV's look? I have the 1" dd installed...but, Im thinking i have about 3-3.5" of lift in the front now. Can someone give me the stock measurements for a '96 4runner so i can compare?

Hey looks nice!
Quick question though... is that lower coil mount cup supposed to be facing that way?

Oh yeah... I have the CV drop kit that came with my 3" spacer - since I don't have CVs if you want it let me know and I can ship it off to you.

Hey dude,
What is the size of your drop spacer? I have a 1"...I dont know how much bigger you can go with a drop spacer w/o interference.

The lower coil mout cup your talking about? Well, it spins pretty easily, so I think as long as you get the end of the coil in the spot where its supposed to be, you'll be okay. .. I think? Things are working well, so I have no problems.

yeah, that's what I figured... I've already put on about 300 miles with this setup so I'm not worried.

I'm not sure what the size of the spacer - I'll have to go home and check.

EDIT:
You know, I offered it first to SC and if he's needing it I'll have to give it to him. Sorry Jacque - I didn't know you were in need.

If he doesn't want it I'll send it to you.
If he does, I'll save the measurements so you can go to Ace or something and get the parts.

which ome springs do you have? The only way I can even posibley seeing this set up working is if you are running 880's with out your cv's blowing out. How long have you have your springs on? Steel bumper and winch?

Uhhh... wow. I can't believe this. All the pictures that I saw before, and all the reading I did, and I didn't even notice that???! I for some reason thought that the cup going upwards holding it inplace would make more sense. ˟˟˟˟.

Maybe thats why the front end was so damn low. ??? Eeeeek.

Well, my noises are eliminated right now, and everything sounds perfect. (except for my tie-rod).

Looks like its going to be another trip to the auto parts store and rent the damn compressors ... AGAIN (this will be the FOURTH time).

I have 881's. I have had the springs for probably 2 1/2 months, and I have NO steel bumper or winch.

Im now guessing that the lower cup mount really screwed with me. I still cant believe it. How embarrasing.

I'll tell you what though... The ride is great...I can hit the big speed bumps going very fast, and not even phase me. (I know thats not the smartest thing).

hmmm... does it matter? OME doesn't have instructions on how the that lip is supposed to orient. Mine has ridden just fine up to this point. I'm assuming that Brian's rode just fine on his at EC4RJ.

Likewise I'm sure it runs that way too...
Maybe it doesn't matter?

You might want to re-look at the ARB/Old Man Emu Instructions.

OME MOST CERTAINLY does have instructions. Please re-read them.
