Coolest Bug shield out there for a 99 runner

Hey everyone,
Can anyone recommend the coolest looking black or smoked bug shield for the hood of my 99 runner.
With all the traveling and trailriding I do........It's about time I slapped one on not to mention being in the land of stones on the road. AZ.

Thanks, kenny S>

I don't care too much for the oem bug deflector...just does not have a very low profile look.

Instead, I have an EGR bug deflector. It's a very low profile deflector. I've had it almost 2yrs now and love it:

I think the AVS ones give the most complete coverage and it offers plenty of room behind it to easily keep the hood edge clean but still forms to the hood nicely. I also doesn't rewquire the included bumpstops even at 80+ highway speeds.

I dont think there is a cool looking bug sheild ever made. lol I don't prefer them. They don't seem to do a very good job and will end up chafing your paint away if they contact the hood at any point

Mine is an OEM toyota one that came on my rig. But it's up behind the factory brush guard so you really don't notice it much.

I have one similar, but not AVS, to X-AWDriver. Though I took mine off for a bit, this style is going to be the most effective due to the lip upwards. It sends bugs 90 deg straight up when you hit them. Its fun in the swamp areas where there are tonnes of dragonflies, you just see them come toward your vehicle and then bam! 90 degrees up in the air. haha. Oh mine also took on a little bird on the highway. It hit the deflector, shot it straight up in the air. I watched it through the sunroof and then the reaview when it hit the ground. They are not the most aesthetic no matter what, so its best to get the most functional.

It keeps the front of my hood/fenders in pristine shape and does deflect some of the rocks away from the scoop and mine doesn't in any way contact the the exterior of the hood so no chafing possible but that wasn't the case with my mom's OEM deflector on her Limited;she now has an AVS.

It does fit surprisingly tight even with just the plastic screws even after three years and never has needed tightening after an intall that took about a minute and half and cost about $40.
