Hey yall,

I lost the cap to the Coolant Reservoir/Overflow Tank on 2000 4runner and was wondering if anybody knew a place to buy a replacement one? I searched the net and everyone just wants to sell the whole tank. Local auto parts carry GM/Ford ones. Any ideas??

that's the kind of part I would look for at a pull a part/junk yard

from what I read you could grab one from a 96-02 4runner. you might want to double check that though

I tried but the u-pull-its around here dont have any 4Runners and other junkyards want the whole tank for 75 bucks

that's twice as much as the new ones I saw online. im going to a pull a part this weekend i will grab you one if you like

I'm going to call the dealership tomorrow and see if I can get one. I'll let you know if I don't.

Tacomas and T100's use many of the same parts. Maybe this one too?

So basically both 4 and 6 cyl 3g 4runners. Taco's have a different part no. 16405-0C010. Perhaps it could be adapted.
