coolant level question

hey guys i just had my tbelt, waterpump and thermstat replaced by a local shop (close family friend) and when i got the truck back i noticed the coolant level in the resevior was low so i filled it back up to full.. well i got off work today and the level was inbetween low and full. i got home (35 miles later) and the coolant level is back up to full. is this normal? or does the system need to be burped? thanks guys

It`s a pressure system. It will, as you mentioned, burp itself if needed. When it gets hot it keeps more fluid under pressure in the system and when it cools, it will equalize itself thru the cooling process and re-fill the holding tank.
All should be well.

check the level when it is cold, that shows the real level as the radiator dumps coolant into the tank when its hot.

The fluid will expand and contract (hot/cold) so give it a few days to see if you need to add more.
