Coolant dripping from Exhaust Manifold???

So i have a good one for you guys... I was loosing coolant and had no idea where it was going... I thought it was a headgasket.. but 4runner seemed fine... oil checked out, temp is fine, plugs looked fine, exhaust smelled like coolant though, and fouled up my cat (p0420 CEL)... I look under my car, and see the exhaust manifold. I saw coolant leaking from the rear cylinder ON/IN the exhaust manifold... I looked at the bottom exhuast stud and it was not tight, it is actually stripped (not sealing manifold). Everywhere around the HG is clean, just coolant leaking out of the rear exhuast port/lower stud don't know how coolant got there since it's above the HG and valves??? Is someone playing a cruel joke on me??

I plan on pressure testing the coolant system tomorrow and probably doing a compression test just to make sure it's not a HG problem. And i'll actually pull the exhaust manifold off too to see exactly what's going on... Any other ideas??

take out the plugs to see which cylinder is letting in coolant. most likely, u need to do headgasket and prolly rebuild head/s.

You could very possibly have porosity in that head. You will probably need to replace it. Pull it off and have it pressure tested

Update

Took off exhaust manifold and saw coolant in the rear 2 exhaust ports Did a pressure test which confirmed a HG or cracked head... Won't know for sure til i get the mechanic to open it. It's gonna cost me 900 for a HG and valve job!!! So much for that new ijoy massage chair i wanted... Hopefully it's not a cracked head... Cuz then i mine as well start looking for a new motor... double

If its a bad head, you can get a brand new head with new vlaves and cam with a gasket set from attarco for $250. I have used one and know you cant beat it for the price
