(in inches) (((Width*%)*2)/25.4)+ Rim size= tire height in inches so, it works out like this: (285*0.75)2 is the rubber parts, then convert that to inches using google and add the 16" rim. or just use the link given above

Best to go to the tire manufacturers site and look up the measurements. Even though metric sizing seems exact, all tire companies don't do so well at consistency. Some 285s are bigger than others. It can vary a LOT! When I bought the last set of 265/70R17s for the Ftruck, Generals were one full inch shorter than the Dunlops I bought when we stood them side by side!
But yeah, generally speaking a 285/75R16 would a 33x11.50
