Hey all, Before you jump all over me about not doing a seach I did. But the info that i found was conflicting.

This what I am tring to do, I have a 90' runner that will sameday get 35" tires whichs need 6" lift (4" sup + 2 body)

But can I run 33's with just a 2" lift?

The couple of source I have found says the I need eather 1" or 3" depending on where you look.

has anyone done this or am I on my own?

Yes, you can do 33's with 2 inches with the right backspacing and maybe a little fender trimming. Try to keep your backspacing around stock, which is 4.75" (almost positive). The less backspacing you have, the more rubbing probs you will get. You can also get another inch out of cranking your torsion bars.

I am not running 33's, BUT I am running 32's on 1990 4Runner with NO lift. So, I would think that you should have no problems running 33's with 2 inches of lift. I have enough clearance so there is no rubbing whatsoever.. thus, adding 2 inches of lift should give you enough clearance for 33's. We are talking only a half inch more (radius from axle to edge of tire) for the 33's as compared to 32's. Heck, I could probably run 33's on my truck with no lift.. but I am pretty sure that they would rub in turns, and , I would probably only have 1/2 or less inch clearance in the rear.

It's a pretty standard formula, lots of people do it. I know of 2 people in my club that are running 33s with only a 1inch BL, tbar crank, and trimming the front fender thingies.

Forerunner, FYI, most 33's are more than half an inch larger in radius than most 32's. Very counterintuitive, but that's the way it goes. If you were to go outside and measure your 32's you'd find that they are not actually 32's. Same for 33's. I don't know how they come up with the numbers.... but usually 33's are more than an inch taller than 32's.

I am running 33's with a 1" bodylift and some fender trimming. With 4" of BS it is pretty much perfect.

Some have run 33's with a 3" bodylift. Those people are not me.

You could add a bunch of bodylift to a suspension lift and fit 35's, but then all you would be is tall.

Unless I have some special edition SR5 alloys, the backspacing is 4.25". I measured mine two nights ago.
