cold weather manual tranny fluid
It's getting colder and reminds me of below zero mornings coming. Does anybody know any products or gear oil that is not so stiff in really cold weather. The manual suggests 75w-90, are there other lighter oils that can be safely used, or additives? Just curious.

Synthetic!!!
Up here in Alaska, running synthetic is a big bonus - dino oil just doesn't flow when it's cold. It's like shifting through cold peanut butter. Any synthetic will do, but I use Amsoil. Good stuff. Put it in tranny, transfer case, and diffs for easy shifting all winter long.

www.amsoil.com It will really help you power to if you use it thru you whole drivetrain. Much less resistence.

Synthetic gets my vote too. I have run it for a while.
