CO2 fill ups - San Diego/Temecula
San Diego/Temecula/Chula Vista
Where do you guys get your CO2 tanks filled? I've called a few welding shops here in Temecula and none fill inhouse. There is one in Hemet that the guys at AllPro told me about, but Hemet is kinda in the opposite direction that I go. Any place along I15 would be great.

I don't know the area, but I go to the local Gordon Woods Welding supply. I would expect that they have one in your neck of the woods... Also.... Airgas has it.
Call around for welding suppliers.

Hey Marc,
Yep that was me. No, just been busy and I haven't been out since. I was hoping to be able to go on the upcoming run, but we are doing a formal family portrait (w/my mom and my sisters families) this weekend in Coronado.
The run sounds really interesting too. I haven't been out to that area since I was in the boy scouts.
Hopefully next year I get a few more runs in.

I go to WestAir because their Miramar location is really convenient to me. They'll fill while you wait, but are a bit pricey. I think I pay around $20- $25 to get my 15lb cylinder filled - perhaps its more expensive because they use "medical grade" gas.
I'd love to find a cheaper vendor, but haven't spent the time to look around.

or something else to think about is to try a paintball shop. they always have co2 and HPA. thats where i have my scuba filled for airing up when we go to play.

what i dont understand is why co2? hpa is more stable and cheaper. it only costs me 6 dollars to fill my scuba and i dont have to worry about my bottle exploding in my rig from sitting in the sun. Not to mention i got my scuba with fill station (for paintball, but allows me to hook upto a regulator to bring it down to 130psi) for only 75 dollars.
