clutch questions

when my truck gets hot, like when it is sitting for a while idling in the sun or even if it is just sitting out in the sun the clutch engages a lot farther out than when it is cold. can anyone tell me why this is?

maybe some expansion of the fluid in the clutch hydraulics?

that's what i was thinking but everybody at the shop i go to says they have never heard of that happening

i looked in the master cylinder and my fluid was low, i filled it when i changed my clutch about two months ago so i don't know why there was some missing. but so far so good after filling it up
