clutch pedal squeek????

clutch pedal squeek????

'01 Tacoma 4x4 5spd V6--->

Alright, my clutch pedal is squeeking now and I have not been able to locate exactly what part of the assembling is squeeking...... i tried to grease up the moving parts of teh assembly but it didnt seem to help....

anybody had similar problems... what was actually doing the squeeking?

try hitting the pivot point with some WD-40 or your fav. brand of lube. Also check the slave cylinder down by the transmission

i just had the same problem and it was my slave cylinder. i just zapped it with some WD-40 and no more squeeky

it could be a few things:

1) clutch pedal bushing (search the term)
2) worn master cylinder
3) worn slave cylinder

i just had my clutch MC changed today w/ a brand new toyota OEM one. no squeaking or inconsistent action. the clutch action has never been better!
