Clicking Sound after new CV install

Quick question. I broke my cv half shaft in hollister this past weekend. I got pretty nervous with the clicking so I took it to the gilroy stealership to get it repaired. Every since I got it back, when I slow down to a stop there is this strong click, it clicks then 5 seconds later it clicks again. Sounds something like a bent rim, just to give an example. Not sure where to start, but it may be linked to the CV install, I don't know. Just curious, has anyone else had this noise after a CV repair job? Thanks in advance.

I would be checking your diff. If you broke an axle, you may have done damage to your diff too.

IE perhaps a broken tooth.

I did have this problem in my 86 4Runner, and it turned out to be a missing brake spring (the ones that hold the pads and keep them from moving around in the caliper). Look at that too, make sure those brake pad spring clips are there.

Called a few dealerships this morning, they said that the clicking sound was normal in some Tundras, 4Runners and Tacomas. Strange...

interesting, I do remember the tech saying that the only way they could have my truck done in 1 day was to order an aftermarket half shaft...i think it's time i call this guy and see what exactly he installed.
