Clearing limited flares with 285's: 1 or 1.5" body lift

There's info out there, I know, but after 25 pages I gave up. I've got 891's in back with Tundras up front, going to run 285 Firestone Destination MT's on a 16x8 wheel with 4.5" backspace. Don't care to beat and cut my wheel wells if at all possible, but don't want to body lift any higher than I have to. Anybody have any insight? Thanks in advance!

With that lift I don't believe a body lift is required at all. There should be minimal if any rubbing. Hopefully someone running 285's will chime in.

I'm running the Firestone Destination A/T's in 305 with the same size rim as you, and the only little mod I had to make was cutting like 3" out of the inner part of the fender flare on the front bumper portion. The tire was rubbing when I turned, and I was afraid that the lugs would rip the bumper right off. In the pic below, the front-most edge of the tire would have been hitting the fender flare in the front.

You shouldn't need any more lift than you already have.
