If you mean taking the amber color out of the plastic, it can't be done. The color isn't just on the surface. You'll need to buy clear ones.

I have some clear bumpers and sides I just ordered. I just got a TJM-15 as part of the group buy here and these bumpers do not fit. If you have a Second Generation, PM me if interested.

if your ride has the amber plastic piece inside the housing then it can be done, i've done mine. I've also seen some other interesting mods for the cars that does not have aftermarket clear lenses offered , what they did was break apart the housing(amber piece), cut a peace of plexi glass(using the amber piece as template) and fit if over the housing with some sealent and glue. it looks really good

(Im talking about clear bumper lenses)

I was thinking about doing the same thing when I was looking at my bumper lights, however, I couldn't take it apart. Did you just force the snap things down that hold the front lens? What did you use? I tried using a screw driver, but I didn't have much success. I was also trying to take out the amber piece in the tail lights...but after unscrewing the screws in the tail lights, I had the same problem again...the lens wouldn't pop off. Is there any special technique or tool you use? I just made scratches in the plastic.

No, you can't make your lights clear but the lenses are so cheep on ebay, it doesn't matter.

Hey javin, I'm guessing you have a 3rd gen from your avatar. I removed the amber from my tail lights a while back:

Did you forcibly break the amber piece like Joe, or did you actually open up the lenses? Thanks in advance!

It's going to be hard if not impossible to try to clear the corners yourself. They will never keep out moisture and will fog up after you cut it apart, since the orange is on the outside.

What year is your 4runner?
