I say go for it. They CAN add a nice clean look to your truck. They are legal in all states I think. Some states are more strict about having an amber bulb then others are though. Go for it!!

I didn't like them at first but I cracked one of my ambers. The genuine replacement was pretty expensive, I found clear corners on ebay for 10 bucks. I really like the look. Check ebay.

I think that the corner lights were actually a recall issue on the 4runners sometime back. Because of the amonut of amber or the lack there of . It's only illegal if you get caught right!

Do it.
I installed clear corners and PIAA super white bulbs in place of the amber bulb. (Much nicer looking IMO). I've had more compliments on the clear corners from other Toyota owners than any other accessory on my 4Runner.
Oh and I purchased them from Jason Burtman.

You should still be able to use stock bulbs with either the clear turn signal lenses or clear corner lenses.
Burtman sells them both. Click the Links below:

Clear Corner Lenses
Now only if I could find some clear turn signal lenses for my TJM...
Here's an older picture of my 4Runner w/ clear corners:

You all are crazy, I can stand amber bulbs, they are so ugly. I went with the white 921 LED Bulbs for the corner's and they are sexy as hell.

I bought my corners and clear signals off of ebay a couple of year ago for $40 shipped but I'm lazy and have yet to replace the OEM bulbs which don't look so ggod in the corners but the OEM ones in the signals look ok. I want the superwhites in the corners.
