Christmas time wax job
Hey, I was planning on trying a new brand of wax on my 4Runner over the holidays. Have any of y'all used the wax from Groits Garage? I think i rember Correy saying that he uses it. If so, is it good? I was thinking about getting the orbital buffer from them as well. I just got another catalog from them and all of their stuff looks pretty good.

I have it mapped out too easily walk someone through buying the stuff and using it for the very first time.
In all my waxing, I have never ran across a wax this good.
Now if you have a dark colored rig, then I hear Zaino is very good.
But for a light colored rig like mine, I'll never give up my Porter Cable and Griot's Best Of Show wax.

I have my computer set to sound off a very loud alarm, or page me whenever the word "wax" is mentioned

I couldn't stand it. I was like a child. All the Corey hype about that foresaken porter cable. I bought one. Put it on my lowe's card. Now my truck looks like a huge black mirror.
Thank God it wasn't the special ediiton.

Using It
You only have to see his mug when you aren't using it. I think they need to change one of the "special" emblems. I think there should be one on the end by the wheel. That way, every wax job will have the watchful eye of Corey on it.:eek:

Ive been using the Groits Best of Show Wax on my Black 88 Toyota Truck and been getting comments from others that my truck has a new paint job.The paint job is 12 years old and the secret to having a perfect shine is using the Clay first,Best of Show Wax second,Wipe it off with Groits cotton cloth with a dip of KINGSFORD CORN STARCH and I guarentee you will have all of the wax removed and no Hazy look,Strictly wet car show look.Try it and let us know on your SHINE

Well then, I guess i will have to give it a try. Thanks a lot. How about the clay? Anyone use that? I've heard good stuff about it.

The guy is crazy. I tried to pickup the Corey cable and all of a sudden i hear this growl. I look up and i could see these fangs:eek:
After i got done crying i couldn't believe the shine that came off my 4runner.

We need to have a huge wax party at Corey's, we can all road trip to WA and Corey can wax all our rigs till his heart is content or until his "Corey Cable" gives out, God Forbid that though.
But I do wish I lived out there in the West so I could meet some of you guys and have a chance a Corey teaching me some of his tricks.

I have not tried that one.
It won't be a random orbit one though like the Portar Cable.
You stand a chance of buring the paint with a non random orbit type.
You can't ruin your paint with the PC one.
Give 'em a call and see what they say.
You might even get "Corey" on the phone.

Another thumbs up for the Porter Cable buffer. I just got one as an early Christmas present and the thing is awesome! I buffed out the old red paint on my 93 T-100 and it looks great. I had tried for a few years now to wax it but nothing helped the chaulky paint. A little 3M swirl remover and the buffer worked wonders.

Ive got a Craftsman 9in 3000 rpm I picked up at Sears back when I had the Camaro. Am ashamed to say I have yet to wax my truck with it, or anything else for that matter. Living at a apartment complex makes it hard to wash and wax your truck. However my roomates and I just picked up a 4 bedroom house which I am in the process of moving in today. Once we get settled the first thing on my to-do list is a meticulous detail and wax session. I have a bottle of Meguiar's Gold Class Clear Coat wax.
Would like to try the Griot's but will give the meguairs a shot since I already have it.
I have all the bonnets / wax applicator and buffer attachments ready to rock.
I don't think I am going to go the clay bar route this time.
