That thing has got to have some sort of Hydraulics. There's no way he can do that with out them. BTW, thats a mini with a snug top. Is it just me or did he have to do something crazy with his hood to keep his engine underneath it? What a waste of money. I wish I had it to blow.

GOOD LAWD!! I have a door stop thats taller than that thing!!
Did he have to add that rediculous hood bulge because the engine is above the hood there?

Arrow Blah...

The first one I don't like at all. Yeah... you know he has hydraulics... anything that can tuck 20's has to have them to drive. The second one is really nice though. I know a guy here locally who has a black 1997 Tacoma lowered with rims and that same grille, but he has clear corner lights not shaved like that one. I really liked that. For a 4Runner though, it just isn't right...

Now I know I don't share the same views as most of the people on this forum but I am an avid fan of lowered trucks (and no my 4runner is not lowered). The first truck, although I don't like camper shells especially on lowered trucks has some really nice qualities. The 4runner grille swap looks really good and the hood (although different) is needed due to the body drop on the cab and bed. Most likely the truck has airbags rather then hydraulics. Most of the lowered trucks these days have gone to airbags. The Tacoma is absolutely gorgeous in my opinion. I love the color and it has many good body mods that anyone can appreciate. For instance the 2nd generation 4runner bumper and chrome valance fitment, the shaved handles, integrated hoodscoop and body drop that is by no means easy to execute. Now I know that these trucks aren't everyone's cup of tea but next time just take a little time to look at things for what they are before you come to a conclusion. Sorry for the long post. I'm in the middle of studying for a test and my mind is going crazy.

I really like both of them a lot! I'll keep on lifting my trucks, but I gotta give props to both of those. I love any rig that can scrape frame - as they say, "if sparks dont fly, your ride's too high"

My trucks will always be lifted...unless it was a 2wd thing - then it'd be slammed. But then again, when was the last time my or my family bought a 2wd vehicle? Not in the past 24yrs....lol

I agree. A lot of dedication and labour went into those two rigs. It may not be alot of peoples "bag of tea" but you have to give props where props are due. As long as it ain't stock and it isn't dangerous (ie... some morons I have seen with front and rear blocks on a SAS 4x4) just to achieve some cheap lift.

The second truck belongs to a guy named Brandt from the truck club Negative Camber. I like his truck a lot Along w/ the 4Runner front clip swap, he has the rear tubbed and is laying that low w/ 20s. The fronts are 18s though.

Well, you guys might not like what he's done to his truck(s), but you'll be happy to know that he's faithful to Toyota! His past 3 or 4 trucks have all been Toyotas

I like the 2nd truck. Very well done. Looks like my Horizon Blue paint. I like lowered trucks...old American iron and a few minis.
