check engine light Q for 2001+
is it true that whenever the check engine light comes on, the VSC OFF and TRAC OFF lights come on? like.. each and every time?

If I remember right, if the VSC/TRAC Off both come on while NOT in 4Wd, it indicates a possible problem with either the ABS and/or 4WD system (i.e. spin sensors, transfer case). Check your manual. I believe it mentions something about it...

well last time they came on it was the MAF. it came on again, and i want to know if the dealer really sucks and didnt REALLY change the part.
