check engine light
A couple of weeks ago my check engine light came on. When I checked the code it read code 26 which says it's running to rich. I checked my book, and it said the most common problem was the O2 sensor. I replaced that and it still comes on. It always comes on when it's totally warmed up and usually when i'm sitting at a stop light, or at a low rpm. Any ideas? Thanks

What year is your vehicle, which engine? If you provide a little more info, it might help. If you have the 3.0 v6, when you replaced the o2 sensor did you pull the efi fuse and let it sit for at least 5 minutes before putting it back in?

sorry it's taken so long to get back on. I've been having computer problems. I have a 95 4runner 3.0 V6. I did reset the computer after replacing the O2. I have an open air filter setup on it, but after the light came on I put the stock airbox on to see if that was the problem, but the light came back on after resetting it. I tried to clean the mass airflow sensor yesterday. so i'll see if that helps. thanks for replying to this post.

Some of the 2 Gen 3.0s have 2 O2 sensors, make sure you replaced the correct one.
Usually the later 3.0s had 2 one in front of the cat and one behind.
The second one is for Cat efficency, the first is air/fuel ratio

I cleaned the MAS, and now the light isn't coming on, but now it idles rough. But that could be the gas I put in I'm not sure. I put half a tank of 91 in an hour after I was done. About 15 min later it was running rough so hopefully it's good to go. Thanks for everyones help
