Where can I get the best deal on a K&N air filter for the 3.4L engine?

Are you sure you want to go with a K&N? How about an Amsoil? Amsoil is cheaper, filters just as well, and provides the same "gain" in HP - which is basically nothing on either filter. Its the deckplate that makes the difference in HP.

www.gadgetonline.com check out the dyno results.

Performanceproducts.com

Has pretty good prices.

I got my 4.0L for $44 shipped.

Don't do it! Especially if you are going to wheel. The K&N lets an amazing amount of dust by. This from someone who ran stock, then K&N, then TRD then Amsoil filters.

the K&N system was designed for track use and on a track, you seldom see the choking clouds of dust we see in our sport. Those who run a K&N and have not seen dust by it, will, eventually.

Air Filters

Anyone want to buy a K&N or Amsoil Air Filter? I also have two bottles of oil for the Amsoil.

I used them each for a very short time period and they're both in the boxes.

I do very little, if any wheeling. If I do go wheeling, it's in the winter time when everything is covered in snow. In the summer time, I'm too busy riding my mountain bike or rock climbing or any number of other outdoor activities.

Been there...done that...bought the t-shirt.

Don't waste your money.
More air + More dirt.

No performance gain till 5000 RPM.

I'd still go with the Amsoil. I've had both. It filters WAY better than the K&N ever could and it's more reasonably priced.

So are you using Amsoil now or are you back to using paper filters?

I have not seen any sign of dust getting by the Amsoil yet, so it's still in. However, I have a new paper filter standing by in case that happens. For the moment, all is happy in intake land with the Amsoil
