Cheap Laptop Mount
Not that a jotto desk or other set ups aren't cool but I didn't see myself dishin out 300+ dollors for one. So this is what I came up with...
One LCD TV wall mount $20
One rack plate cut in half Free
One strip of sticky Velcro (borrowed from GF)
One Velcro strap from a yard sale $.50
Some self tappers
This is what I got...
Take center nut off and fold arm out of the way.
Image Hosting at Bolt
Going to add a side bar to hold it steady.
Ran it for 150 miles this weekend which included some rough dirt roads, it wobbled, but it's not like you are reading it when your 4R is going sideways on the washboards.

Looks like a pretty sweet setup...how is the stabilty on it? I use one I made out of a fiberglass top, aluminum angle, and pvc pipe. It works for the 10 days out of the year that we use it. I use the existing seat bolts. I am just looking for something that has just a little less wobble to it.
I too refuse to pay $300 for a Jotto that I only use on our annual vacation.
