Chaotic Idle Then Death!

I just got this problem recently where i'll come to a stop then the car starts to idle like its going to die then gives up and die. It happens at almost every stop. is this a MAF sensor problem? I do have a K&N intake and i've heard more bad things about them then good, or is it something else? it's driving me crazy!

I had that problem a while back.stopping and engine stumbles, idles down then dies.My Idle Air speed control valve was sticking/gummed up.I sprayed it out w/carb clean through the throttle body port,(its the round hole on the bottom of the throttle body once you get the intake boot off, infront of the butterfly)...You can also remove it and really clean it out(directly below and attached to the throttle body),I would get a new rubber gasket for the IASCV if you plan on doing that...Its been good for about 10k now.

If I want to clean the throttle body do I have to remove it first? or is it possible to clean it w/out removing it?

You can just take the intake boot off, spray carb cleaner into the hole infront of the butterfly with the carb cleaner straw, spray a couple of times, might even want to hit w/compressed air inbetween the sprays(air in a can will work in a pintch).clean the throttle plate butterfly(hold open throttle plate, wipe clean....put back together...Should get you by untill you have to remove the IAC and really clean it.
