changing cv boots Q? update
I need to change out some cv boots. My truck is not modified in any way. 95 SR5 Runner V6 and a 5 speed.
I got the nuts loose on the inner hub to flange connection. I got my brother in law to bring over his commercial duty impact wrench and we managed to break them loose. Also pressed out the studs on the driver's side. Now I can't get the inner hub out through the available hole. Is there a trick to this? The books make it sound like simply removing the nuts will permit you to slide the half shaft out to the inside.
