Changing belts on 02 runner

This weekend I am going to change all the belts on my truck. Is it like changing the belts on any other vehicle? It looks like I cant loosen the altenator?

most vehciles running a sepertine belt for the acc doesnt allow actual moventment of the alternator, rahter they use a spring loaded tensioner somewhere that needs to be unloaded via a wrench to allow movement of the belt

The alternator is one of the tensioners, so you have to loosen that, then there are two other tensioners (at least on the '98 4cyl) one is accessed from the bottom of the engine and one is right at the top near the power steering pump.

The 3.4L looks like this (alt is to the right, just out of sight in the pic):

There should be 2 bolts holding the alternator in place, loosen both and the alternator should pivot inward toward the engine.
