Pretty simple. If it is anything like my '95. Undo the radiator shroud, undo the fan, loosen bolts so there is some slack in the belts (PS, Alt, and A/C). Put the new ones on, tighten up the tension but not too much other wise it will just stretch out. Then repeat everything backwards and start her up!

If you need help try searching, or if you can't find the answer post here.

Good luck!

For the alternator belt loosen the mounting bolts, swing the alternator towards the block and remove the belt. Reverse to install. For the A/C belt you'll need to remove the skid plate to get to the tensioner, it's underneath. Loosen the lock bolt and screw the tensioner bolt in until it gets loose and the belt comes off, and reverse to install. For the power steering the tensioner is under the power steering pump, it works the same way as the A/C one. It's easier to reach if you remove the air box, but can be done without.

There's a link to an FSM for 96-02 4Runners about half way down this page, that might help with diagrams

I did it not having a manual in about 2 hours not trying to "bust it out". I also drained my coolant and removed my upper radiator hose. That made it easier. It was not bad at all. When I put it back together, I used a long screwdriver put between 2 nuts holding the fan on to keep it from rotating while I tightened the rest of the nuts up, then it just rotated it switching between all 4 nuts going around till all were tight.

When is the timing belt due? If you are going to do it soon, just wait and do it then.
