Change in Plans

Well, as my 4runner ran over the 174k mile mark i think it might have sparked a little bit of sanity in myself (along with a long list of "no's" from my dad ). Needless to say im not gonna be able to build the truck that I had hoped to. For now, or at least until im out on my own and out in college, she will be my street queen. No, im not going to go for the blinged out look (no offense Brian ) thats not my style at all, but for now it looks like some things i would like to do aren't going to be able to fall in place just because i am still under dad's rules. Be as it is, I will still be on the site compiling the long and seemingly neverending list of things that i will hopefully eventually do, but for now it seems as though my trucks purposes will be for DD transportation and the occasional outdoor activity. Well to make this thread not a complete and utter waste of your time here are some pictures haha

upcoming i am gonna finish up the CB install just have to get a couple pieces together and probably going to finish up the audio (only have 3 speakers now ) and tires when the time comes. Other than that probably gonna have to wait till im out of school and can spend some real time with it. Thanks for letting me rant and thanks for this site!

Nice Queen.....stock is good. Less you mess with it, the more reliable it will remain. Finish school, that is your top priority. The military was good for me and opened a lot of doors. But, the engineering degree broke down doors with no regrets.

Yea between that and baseball i have no time to do anything with it, so might as well save it and keep it running until i get out and can afford to have some fun with it.

Heh...Im in the same boat as you are. I saved a ton of money to do mods for my truck, but now my mom decided to not let me spend it on my truck for mods, just for repairs and college, since shes paying insurance. This is my last summer at home though and im off to college in the fall!!! Then ill be able to spend some money on my truck!

Well i just finished my 2nd year in college but still going through things financially here at home and them still trying to pay 10k a year for college (yes, thats still after scholarships) im just thinking to quit nagging them about things so much and ease up since they are still providing for me. I think for the most part i can wait another 2-3 years and keep it in shape so when the time comes it will be ready and more than willing!

hey man, nothing wrong with stock! they go far as is- did it last month, and turned some heads. i'm not saying "upgrading" isn't good, as that's where i'll be soon, but priorities are good when spending serious dough. FYI, lose the roof basket faring and gain ~2-3 mpgs! I've been recording mileage stuff for the past year and found this made a HUGE difference. the wind sound that is produced is negligible in my opinion. can't hurt, eh?
